MISSION STATEMENT FOR ALEHA, INC - NON-PROFIT
To provide alternative solutions to keep our area lakes and streams, environmentally clean and safe for recreational use, as well as for our fish and wildlife. Chemical free solutions when possible are the goal that drive the future of our watershed.
As our organization will work with the AALA Avon Area Lakes Association to mechanically remove Invasive Plant Matter as appropriate, such as, Milfoil, Curly-leaf Pondweed, and Starry-Stonewort. The Eco-Harvester is also capable of skimming up the Algae Bloom we often experience in summer heat in stagnant water.
ALEHA, will assist Lake shore homeowners to apply for the Minnesota DNR permits to remove Aquatic Plan Vegetation which restricts access and personal use of the lake. ALEHA is set up to be financially self-supportive, using grants from the MNDNR, County and Township Boards. There will be a charge to Lake shore homeowners for removal and disposal of plant vegetation from the personal lake shore.
Harvesting on a specific lake will be announced for a 3 to 7 day period of time. Your response must be prompt to allow for proper scheduling.
Property owner must pay a $350.00 for One Option A or B, or $650.00 for Options A&B Combined, as an advanced donation to be put on the schedule.
